Welcome to our 1st show of 2023 ! This show is an homage to the versatility of wood. Do you know what encaustic painting is? You should come and check it out! The history of encaustic painting goes back to the Ancient Greek artists! It is fascinating! Hot / Heat / Melted color on wood – wax layered and layered. So cool!

Other works in the show include Woodworking / Spinning / Carving / Mixed Media / Painting / Sculpture and more!

The gallery will be open Fridays 5-7 and Saturdays 12 – 3 in February for viewing.

Call for Art – Works on Wood – Feb 3

Open Call for Art! 2D / 3D / 4D

Works on Wood , out of wood, with wood – you get it. Inspired by and featuring encaustic works by Casey Lowry.

Mixed Media . Encaustic . Carving . Sculpture . Painting – with wood or on wood.

  • Show Reception : Friday February 3, 6pm – 9pm.
  • Gallery will be open Fridays and Saturdays in February for show viewing.
  • Artist fees: 1st piece = free, 2nd piece = $20, 3rd piece = $40
  • 10% commission on sales requested to DIM Art House
  • All works must be gallery ready (wire hanger / information card)
  • If no hanger, we will add one for you at $10
  • Information card: Name / Title / Price / Contact / Payment info. We encourage all transactions to go directly through the artist
  • Drop off dates tentatively Sunday Jan 29, 12-2pm / Monday Jan 30, 6pm – or contact DIM to schedule drop off.
