Details: Pick a pet from APL Springfield to use as your muse for your art creation. Email us when you know who you are using – we just want to keep track and make sure they don’t overlap.

I will be updating this page with a list of critters who have been chosen so you can cross-check it. We are simplifying the process this year!

• Artist fees: free to show up to 3 pieces
• Sale of art: Artist 50%, APL 50% (or you can just donate 100% to APL)
• All works must be gallery-ready (wire hanger/information card)
• If there is no hanger, we will add one for you at $10
• Information card: Name / Title / Price / Contact / Payment info. We encourage all transactions to go directly through the artist. All artwork will be hung with the Pet’s Bio and APL contact info.
• Drop-off dates week of July 18

Saturday October 28, 4pm – 8pm DIM Art House will be turned into a Trick-ART-Treat Kid Friendly Trick or Treat / Art Shopping Experience! We are looking for Artists!

1: Black Light Art Gallery – submit up to 3 pieces (1st-free/each add’tl $10) – show will hang in front gallery.

2: Art Market in Main Gallery – Sell your wares! $20/space (8′ x 4′ tables/chairs included) – MUST HAVE CANDY FOR KIDS! – each kid will be given a punch card to make sure they visit all artists/stations
.
3: Transform a space / hallway / nook into an experience! (kid friendly!) – slime, webs, oddities, dark light, music … have fun!

*artists keep 100% of sales. 
($ from fees goes toward DIM overhead)

Open Call for Art! 2D / 3D / 4D

Works on Wood , out of wood, with wood – you get it. Inspired by and featuring encaustic works by Casey Lowry.

Mixed Media . Encaustic . Carving . Sculpture . Painting – with wood or on wood.

• Show Reception : Friday February 3, 6pm – 9pm.

• Gallery will be open Fridays and Saturdays in February for show viewing.
• Artist fees: 1st piece = free, 2nd piece = $20, 3rd piece = $40
• 10% commission on sales requested to DIM Art House

Are you an artist that would like to hang a piece in this show?! This is NOT juried (aside from our standard community respect rules).

All 2d pieces need to be ready to hang with a wire hanger. If not, we will provide one for your $10 – and we can show you how to do this on your own for next time.

FREE for 1st piece, $20 – 2nd piece, $40 – 3rd piece (limit 3)

Artist keeps 100% profit.

Part 1: Kids Create Art with Outer-space Theme!

Workshop Dates: May 13, 6pm-8:30pm and/or May 14, 1pm-4pm
Limited to 25 Seats
$25/ per Painter (buy online or choose cash (COD) at checkout) – see below
All materials supplied
DIM will frame art when done

Let’s let these kids loose and have them create their vision of an OUTERSPACE – aliens, monsters, UFOs, creatures…. themed piece! Kids will create their art and leave it at DIM (see part 2)

Part 2: Local Artists will create a piece based on Kid Art

Local Artists will pick up Kid Art from workshop to create their interpretation of the kid art!

Pickup Date(s) May 14, 4pm-5pm and/or May 15, 1pm-2pm
Artists must supply own materials
All 2D work must be Gallery Ready with WIRE Hangers
3D work Accepted
No entry fee
Work will be available to purchase with 75artist/25dim split

Part 3: Gallery Show – Reception

Artwork by both Kid and Artist will hang together in a kid friendly gallery setting.

Opening Receptions: Friday July 1, 5pm-8pm & Saturday July 2, 12pm-3pm
Show will hang through end of July

Show Dates: In-Person: Friday July 2, 6-8 | Saturday, July 3, 6-8pm & Sunday July 4, 12-4

Submission deadline: June 21, 2021
Drop off deadline: June 28, 2021

Call For Artists: Submissions welcome for ROBOT, UFO, OFF PLANET ALIEN in any medium.

Size: no larger than 30×40 total space per artist–three pieces per for a max 30×40 in any 2-D format. 3D Works Accepted depending on parameters. Just submit your piece for review!

No Jury Fee. No Commission. Artist keeps 100% of sales. We prefer to send the buyer directly to you to make the purchase. We will help facilitate the sale, pickup &/or delivery to client if needed. *We may ask to be allowed to make a limited run of prints to sell to help cover our gallery costs. That is negotiable.

All Artwork MUST be gallery ready = WIRE HANGERS, READY TO HANG

Artist should submit an artist statement (1-2 paragraphs) about the work specifically that we can use when describing the show.
